Congratulations Ron Royston - 50 years service!

Canterbury District Football Associations extend their congratulations to Ron Royston for 50 years of service. During this time Ron has held every position at the club and to this day, is not only a member of the Executive Committee and President of MFC, but coach of an u7s side and a winning girls side.
Ron has also held numerous posts at CDSFA and is presently Chairman of the Appeals Committee. We congratulate Ron, and his wife Christine, for the work they have done for football in the Canterbury District.

FFA Small Sided Games (SSG) information
"From 2008, FFA and Member Federations, in conjunction with Zones, Associations and Clubs, will lead a staged implementation of SSG throughout Australia. The implementation will start with some or all age groups, associations and clubs in each Member Federation in 2008 and will continue over several years to progress throughout all age groups, associations and clubs in each Federation in a staged approach."from FFA's SSG Parent Information handout. Victoria has already adopted SSGs. Some 17 Associations in NSW are trialling SSGs in 2008, with 17 using SSGs for u6s, 12 for the u7s, 9 for the u8s, 4 for the u9s and 2, KuRingGai and Far South Coast, adopting SSGs for u10s as well. (Football NSW March 2008)

Marrickville Football Club (the Red Devils) celebrated it's 60th birthday in 2006. Some famous ex Red Devils include Tim Cahill.Registrations for the 2008 season have closed. Registrations for 2009 commence in January 2009.
There has been a small increase in fees in 2008 in line with the increased costs of the last 3 years. Full details on the Fees and Registration pages.
